Unique Social & Personal Development course for service users

Do you have any service users working towards living more independently in the future?

Care Consort now has a nationally accredited qualification which has been designed to encourage learners (children in care, adults with physical conditions, mental health issues or learning difficulties) to participate in local community activities and understand the benefits of these activities for themselves and the community.

The course helps service users to learn ways in which they can reflect on their own personal development, tackle problems, and take responsibility for their environment and issues. It will also teach how their personal skills, abilities, and behaviours can be improved. Service users can access this course from their online portal, or the workbooks can be printed out and completed.

This Personal and Social Development Programme has been designed to help recognise a range of skills, from tackling problems in daily lives to stress management to developing a healthy lifestyle. 

Activity Booklets provided include:
  • Healthy Living 
  • Introduction to Independence 
  • Personal Care and Hygiene 
  • Development of Self

The primary purpose of this qualification is to enable service users to operate independently and effectively in life, learning and work, and will encourage and support your staff to develop them.

Developing personal and social skills will complement learning in other areas, like vocational learning or functional skills.

The qualification aims to develop and formally recognise personal and social skills, to build on their achievements, and to make them appropriate and meaningful.

Care workers can simply deliver the course using the online resources and downloadable activity workbooks.
